Daily Digest: How to Optimize your Amazon Author Pages
Most authors know that it’s critical to have a great Amazon book description and metadata, but most do not take the time to utilize their Amazon Author Page as a SALES TOOL.
As you can see, your Amazon Author page allows you to add a lot of information about you, your site and your titles. Amazon allows you to add these types of items to your page:
- RSS feeds—such as those from your blog or Tumblr account
- Events, including speaking engagements and bookstore appearances
- Up to 8 images of yourself (which you can update any time) — this is a great opportunity to feature new books, upcoming promotions, or even awards won! Readers love seeing things like this on your page.
- Multiple videos of yourself — you can use anything from you talking at an event, a book trailer, or a video customized for the page.
Every Author, no matter when you published, has an Amazon Author Page just waiting to be claimed. AND you can setup an Amazon Author Page for more than one Amazon location. Currently (May 2022) there are six (6):
Amazon’s Amazon Author Pages:
- United States – author.amazon.com
- United Kingdom – author.amazon.co.uk
- Germany – author.amazon.de
- France – author.amazon.fr
- Japan – author.amazon.co.jp
- Brazil – author.amazon.com.br
